I understand how to post a comment on a public blog.

DeleteA private blog is a blog only you can see. Or no one can see but the owner of the blog. Or a group of people you invited to see it.

The difference between a public blog and a private blog is that a public blog is open to anyone, where as a private blog, you get to choose who sees it or not-sort of like schools, one is open to everyone (that's a public school), others you have to pay to get your child in (it's a private school that does that)
